The celebration of Eid-e-Milad, marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Muhammed (Pbuh), is set to be observed with great enthusiasm by devotees on Thursday. Events like food distribution, sherbet servings, and religious discussions are scheduled. However, the grand 'Julus' (rally) has been rescheduled for Saturday morning, as announced by convenor Dr. Shaikh Murtuza.
Preparations for Eid-e-Milad festivities have been underway in the city for the past 15 days, with the road from Roshan Gate to Buddi Lane brilliantly illuminated. Residents have been encouraged to fly flags on their houses.
This year, Eid-e-Milad coincides with the Ganesh immersion on Thursday, sharing the same route. In light of this, the police have suggested moving the 'Julus' to September 30 at 8:30 am. The procession will commence from Nizamuddin Chowk and boasts participation from various sects, including Sunnis, Bohras, and Shias.
