Tragic Incident!
City was struck by a tragic incident in the KatKat Gate area when a 14-year-old boy lost his life due to a horrific lift accident happened last night on 14 may. The young boy, identified as Saqib Irfan Siddiqui, was alone at home as his father had traveled to Hyderabad for work. While playing on the third floor of the house, Saqib's head got trapped in the lift, and unfortunately, the lift started moving, resulting in the separation of his head from his body. The authorities were alerted, and the local police promptly responded to the scene. However, Saqib was found lifeless.
What Actually Happened
Further investigations revealed that Saqib, who had two sisters, was being looked after by his grandparents while his parents were away. In the evenings, he would often play games near the lift. Tragically, during one such playful moment, he inserted his head into the lift and pulled it out, which caused his hair to become entangled. Subsequently, when the lift started moving, the force resulted in the fatal accident. The Jinsi police were notified of the incident during the night, and they immediately rushed to the location. The body of the deceased was then transported to Valley Hospital.
Whose Fault
The absence of sensors and proper doors in the lift involved in the accident has raised concerns about the lack of safety measures in place. Lifts without these essential features pose a significant risk to users, not only for young children but also for adults. Consequently, parents and caretakers should ensure that children become familiar with lift usage and exercise caution around them. In this case, the absence of Saqib's parents, who had entrusted him to his grandparents' care, led to this tragic accident.
Wave of shock and sadness
The loss of Saqib Siddiqui has left a deep impact on the residents of area, and it serves as a reminder to prioritize the safety of children when using lifts. The neighborhood has expressed its profound sadness and condolences for the family.
