A girl was stopped and taken with some locals in the Mondha Naka area on suspicion of having a friendship with a boy from a different religion. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when the girl was returning to the Mondha Naka area with Swayamsingh Pravinkumar Singh, who works as a manager at a spa centre. The police have arrested one suspect, Arbaaz (22), in connection with the case.
According to the police, Bhimsingh Nayak, who runs the spa centre, had taken the girl to her room on his motorcycle for some personal work, and they were returning from room. two persons stopped the motorcycle on which the girl was riding pillion with Swayamsingh. The they asked the girl to come with them, but she refused. Later, four more persons arrived on the scene and took the girl in an auto-rickshaw. The police were informed of the incident, and PI Ashok Bhandare, PSI Ananta Tangade, and other officers rushed to the spot and started searching for the suspects.
The police have registered a case with the Jinsi police station and are further investigating the incident. In a similar incident in Begumpura area, some boys manhandled a girl on suspicion of having a friendship with a boy from a different religion.
