Flood of Heads : Mega agitation against city’s renaming, city echoed with slogans of AURANGABAD ZINDABAD

Thousands of citizens staged a massive protest in front of the divisional commissioner's office in city, on Saturday. Youths were expressing their strong anger and displeasure over renaming of Aurangabad, many citizens was holding banners showing their love for city. The demonstration was organized by Muslim Numainda Council (MNC) in response to the renaming of the city by the state government last month.
Various Muslim organizations have been agitating against the renaming for the past few days. The indefinite agitation led by MP Imtiyaz Jaleel was called off on Friday. However, the MNC decided to stage a mega demonstration to express their strong displeasure over the issue.
During the protest, the dignitaries of the MNC expressed their discontent and stated that the government should establish a new city and name it Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. They argued that the name Aurangabad is famous across the world and holds historical significance, and that the government's decision to rename the city has ignored the basic issues faced by poor people in the area.
While the MNC members expressed their respect for Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, they argued that he had no relation with the city. They also raised concerns that the renaming was a tactic to create a rift between two communities.
After the demonstration, the MNC delegation submitted a memorandum to the divisional commissioner's office outlining their objections to the renaming. Council president Salim Siddiqui, MP Imitaj Jaleel, and several other prominent members of the organization, including Rekha Thakur, Samadhan Jadhav, and Ziauddin Siddiqui, were among those present during the protest.

The renaming of Aurangabad to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has been a contentious issue in Maharashtra, with various political parties and organizations divided on the matter. The city, which is known for its historical landmarks and religious significance, has been in the news for several weeks due to the ongoing protests.
