Deadline to Submit Objections Against Renaming of Aurangabad City Ends Today



Today is the last day for citizens to submit objection forms regarding the renaming of Aurangabad, and due to the anticipated large rush, police bandobast has been arranged at centers. The Divisional Commissioner's office has assigned over 60 employees to register objections. Currently, more than 1.56 lakh objections have been filed, while around 11,890 suggestions have been made in favor of the renaming. It is important to note that no objections or suggestions will be accepted after 6 pm on Monday.

To cater to the large number of objections, the divisional administration has arranged to accept objections and suggestions at two locations. Citizens can submit their objections against the renaming at the inward-and outward departments, while forms in support of the renaming will be accepted at the Plantation Department of the divisional commissioner's office. It is important to note that no objections or suggestions will be accepted after 6 pm on Monday.

The final data about the name, address, and objections of the objectors are being prepared by 30 employees from the office of the divisional commissioner and 30 staff members from the office of district collectors. The sources from the administration have also stated that police security has been requested at two locations considering the anticipated rush of citizens for the submission of objections and suggestions on Monday.
