13 Reasons why | Government can not change name of Aurangabad City

The world-famous, international heritage Aurangabad popularly known as The City of Gates, carries so many historic attachments including the world-famous Ajanta Elors caves, Bibi ka maqbara, and the fort of Daulatabad as well as the decades-old Gates and fortification wall running along the veins of the old city. 

The almost 400-year-old city has seen so many wars and changes, the  Aurangabad was used to refer as the capital of the Deccan region in the Mughal era.

From Sultan Tughlaq to Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir to Hyderabadi Nizam and Maratha empire. The Aurangabad had been the center of attraction during many emperial wars, But from a long time since the declaration of indipendence, Aurangabad suffered many controversies on the name of being called Aurangabad derived after the Name of Last Mughal Emperor Alamgir Aurangzeb.

Here are the 13 Reasons why it difficult for state govt to rename the International heritage city :

1️⃣ No attachment of Sambhaji to Aurangabad city.

Hill fort situated in Mahad, Raigad district of Maharashtra


🔹Death in pune :
Tulapur, Mughal Empire (present-day Pune district, Maharashtra, India)
