Finally after the wait of almost a year, AMC officially published the map of draft of new wards(Prabhags) boundaries. AMC have made new 42 Wards(Prabhag) out of extended city map by maintaining avg. 30,000 population for each ward.
3 Corporaters for One ward
As per the new prabhag pattern 3 Corporaters will be elected from each ward, now there will be 126 Corporaters for 42 Wards.
Reservation for 126 seats(Corporaters)
General - 100 (50 woman)
SC - 24 (12 woman)
ST - 02 (01 woman)

The additional municipal commissioner and the deputy commissioner pasted the two documents on the main notice board at AMC headquarters and the entrance of AMC’s building number 3.
AMC invited suggestions and objections
The AMC submitted the rough draft to SEC on May 27, 2022. The State Election Commission has approved and directed to invite suggestions and objections upon it till June 16. the hearing upon them will be held before in the city from June 24. He will then forward his recommendations to SEC by June 30.
The maps mentioning the boundaries of newly formed prabhags, size of population/area and details have been displayed at all nine zones office of AMC and also on the AMC’s website.
