Four people got seriously injured when a gas cylinder exploded while welding a two-wheeler in the M sector of the industrial area on Saturday, December 18 at around 2:15 pm.
All four injured were rushed to the Ghati Hospital for treatment. Police Inspector Sandeep Gurme rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident. In this incident, the glass of Prabhakar Engineering Company located in the nearby M-122 sector was shattered.
Asad Chaus has a gas welding shed in front of Prabhakar Engineering at Ranjangaon Chowk. This afternoon, Sunil Deore came to Asad's shed to weld his two-wheeler's silencer. Meanwhile, the gas cylinder suddenly exploded during welding. Welder Asad, two-wheeler driver Sunil Deore, neighbor Sheikh Chand and Ganesh were seriously injured.
The detached foot was found 50 feet away
The blast was so severe that Welder Hassan's broken foot was found 50 ft away. Scattered pieces of the vehicle and cylinder were found at the site of the blast. In addition, a cyclist and his neighbor were seriously injured.
