This incident took place on Tuesday night where a doctor residing in the Connaught area was attacked with a knife which resulted in his critical condition. He was rushed to a private hospital. The reason for the attack is still unknown, according to the Police.
Dr. Abdul Rafe (Oncosurgeon) works at the Government Cancer Hospital. On Tuesday night he had a patient arriving at his place on Pulsar, complaining of stomach ache. Dr. Abdul prescribed some medicines and the patient left. He returned to ask about the method and time of consuming the medicine and attacked Dr. Abdul and injured him seriously.
As he was fleeing the crime scene, the civilians caught hold of him, as the attack had created a mild commotion. But still, the attacker was successful in escaping. While leaving the doctor’s place, the culprit mentioned that Dr. Abdul had killed the culprit’s sister.
