Due to the sudden change in climate and rain shower, citizens are facing severe cold throughout the day as the temperature has dropped severely in the past week. People are confused whether to wear raincoat or warm clothes when leaving the house because of the continuous showers of rain.
Aurangabad is witnessing severe cold as night temperature dipped to 18 degree Celsius on Wednesday with severe winds. Weather department reported that daytime temperatures is expected to drop further in the city in the next few days.
On Wednesday night, The Chikalthana observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The meteorological department has forecast a drop in minimum temperature for the next two days. After this week the cold will increase gradually.
Apart from the City, various parts of Aurangabad district experienced unseasonal rains for the consecutive second day on Thursday. The district recorded 1000 mm of rainfall this monsoon and it is 50% more than the average rainfall. Weather expert Aundhkar said that the weather would witness a change in the next two days.
