Petition filed against the orders of the Collector

Many Objections are arising against Sunil Chavan's consecutive orders for making vaccination compulsory even for basic facilities and groceries. Under the observation of various court orders, legal expertise claim that vaccination is voluntary not mandatory.

On Wednesday, High Court advocate, Vishal Bakal filed a petition challenging the orders of the Aurangabad District Collector. In an interview with TOI, he said, "The orders making vaccination mandatory to even purchase items of basic necessity, are not in consonance with the Central Government guidelines. Various HCs have observed that vaccination is voluntary and not mandatory".

"Marking vaccine mandatory for basic facilities, is against our fundamental rights", said a final year student, who also has filed PIL against Collector's orders

Senior practicing HC lawyers are even citing the Ministry Of Health And Family Welfare’s statement on its website, stating that Covid-19 vaccination is voluntary. However, it is advisable to take a complete schedule of Covid-19 vaccine to protect oneself against this disease.
