Cycle track pillars damaged, no attention of AMC

Around the city of Aurangabad, Municipal Corporation has constructed a cycle track,by spending crores of rupees under the smart city scheme and was still continued to be made. The citizens have uprooted the polls amd damaged the routes,Therefore, the cost is considered to be wasted. However, the Smart City Development Corporation and the AMC has decided to ignore this. 

Other cities that are included in the central government's smart city plan are instructed to provide cycle tracks in some parts of the city.The initiative is called 'Cycle for Change', aiming at encouraging use of cycles. As of in Aurangabad city, the track was first constructed at the right side, from the Kranti Chowk towards the Station Road, of about 2/2.5m.

The budget states an amount for 4cr. for this including various cycling routes,mainly includes Central Jakat Naka to MGM and from Salim Ali Sarovar to TV Center Chowk resp.

The track from Kranti Chowk to the railway station was inaugurated by state Tourism Minister Aditya Thackeray in January, but eventually in the span of 8.5-9months,it is proved to have deteriorated intermittently. Reports prove that the poles were re -installed twice, still appear to be damaged by the citizens ruthlessly.
