The Central government took important decisions regarding the lockdown on Saturday evening, but the state government did not take any decision till late night.
⏺️AMC decision on lockdown today
Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has not decided to relax the lockdown in the city. The municipal corpo ration is expected to take a decision on Sunday.
⏺️State Government will take decision in 2 days
A decision will be taken in a day or two as per the order of the state govern ment on how much to ease the lockdown in rural areas from June 1, informed district collec tor Uday Chaudhari on Saturday. From June 1, liquor shops will be opened in rural areas, while online liquor sales will be allowed in cities, he added.
The spread of corona a virus within the tehsils of the district is extreme ly low as compared to the city. Therefore, the city is in the red zone and the rest of the district is in the non-red zone from May 22. In non-red zones i.e. rural areas from 7 am to 7 pm, all shops are open except malls, cinema halls, restaurants, liquor shops, hotels and bars. ST service has also been started from tehsils.
There are plans to start some other shops in rural areas as well. But for that, everyone's atten ltion is focused on what changes the state govern ment will make in the order of the central government. The fourth phase of the lockdown will end on May 31. The rural areas still have a strict curfew from 7 pm to 7 am. Now all eyes are on what concessions will be given after May 31.
